If you’re on a journey to clear skin but can’t seem to figure out why you continue to break out with pimples, the cause actually could be link to your current cleansing routine. If you wear makeup, work outdoors or have hobbies that make you sweat or get dirty during the day, then it it very important that you wash your face properly every evening before bed. If you skip out of properly cleansing your face at night, then this just might be your main cause for clogged pores and acne pimple breakouts.
TOP REASONS TO DEEP CLEANSE EVERY NIGHT
- You wear makeup during the day
- You take part in sports
- You work outdoors
These are the top 3 reasons why you should find the best face wash method for your evening routine. If you do any of the above 3 every day, then a simple splash of water at night certainly is not enough to prevent pimple breakouts. Don’t worry, it may sound annoying but building a proper cleansing routine is not as hard as you may be thinking. It can be as simple as a 3 step process to preventing acne and getting rid of existing acne and clogged pores.
1 Oil Cleanse
In the evening, it is important to make sure you are “pulling” all the makeup, dirt, sweat, and acne causing bacteria out of you pores. This can easily be achieved simply by using an oil cleanser. Oil cleansers are made with gentle non-comedogenic oils that actually cleanse the skin. Doing the opposite of what you may have always thought, using oils on the skin can actually be beneficial.
How to: Taking a oil cleanser for the skin, add 1-2 pumps into the palms of your hands and gently massage the oil cleanser over your dry face. Yes, apply the oil onto dry makeup and simply watch as the oils melt and dissolve away the makeup. If you work outside, you might even feel little “grits” coming out of your pores onto the surface of your skin as you massage the oil. After a thoroughly massage, rinse the oil away with warm water and a wet wash cloth.
2 Foam Cleanse
Oh yes, this is a 2 step washing routine. If you use an oily cleanser, it is very important to conduct a second cleansing to be sure that all the cleansing oil has been properly removed to limit the possibility of pores becoming clogged. This is a pre-cautionary step, if you feel your skin does not require a second cleansing, then you can skip this step. However if this would have been your first time using a cleansing oil, then I recommend using a foam cleanser after for the first while to make sure it is needed, or not needed for your skin type.
How to: After completing your oily cleansing, take a gentle foam cleanser and a gentle cleansing brush, wet the brush and apply a small dollop of foam cleanser to the brush and massage over the face in circular motions to create a foaming lather on the skin. Massage over the entire face then rinse away with warm water.
3 Toning the Skin
After you have completed your two cleanses or just the first one, you could always finish off with a toner. Toners work to make sure all left over cleansing products are removed from the skin, balance the pH levels back to normal, tighten opened pores and add a light layer of hydration to the skin, preparing the skin for any skincare products you wish to apply after.
How to: If you are confident that your cleansers have been rinsed away cleanly, then simply splash a small amount of the toner of your choice into the palms of your hands and pat it over your face. If you want to make sure all cleansing products are 100% removed from your skin, then apply a small amount of toner to a cotton pad and wipe the soaked cotton pad over your skin. By doing this, you ensure all cleansing products are removed and that any remaining dead skin cells are wiped away with the cotton.
Completing the best face wash method
By following the simple 3 step cleansing routine above, you will ensure that your skin is properly cleansed and balanced after a hard days work or a day of wearing makeup. If this is your first time taking part in a complete best face wash routine, then in time continual practice, you can be certain to see an improvement of reduced acne breakouts and clearer, smoother, healthier looking skin.
