The Double Cleansing Method
The Double Cleansing Method is an essential and important skincare routine that cannot be overlooked. This two step routine might consume more time, but your skin will thank you for it. We promise!
1) Opt for a cleansing oil as the first step
We’ve all heard of the myths where it’s a big no-no to use cleansing oil on oily faces especially. Throw that idea away and never look back at it, because oil cleansers help to pre-cleanse the skin and they effectively draw out excess sebum and residues that foam cleansers are unable to wash off. It also melts the makeup (including sunscreen) and helps it easier to remove it. The [KLAIRS] Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil is a delicate all-natural cleanser that soothes and hydrates the skin. It gently melts away the makeup and renews the skin complexion, leaving the skin soft and supple.
How To: Pump an adequate amount of the oil cleanser onto the palm of your hands. Rub the oil onto your skin and work your way on the outer areas of the face first and then slowly move toward the T-zone and under eye area.
2) After oil cleanser, the foam cleanser always follows
The second and last step of the double cleanse method is by using a gentle foam cleanser to ensure that all remaining dirt will be washed away, including the excess oil that could be trapped into the skin from the oil cleanser. The [KLAIRS] Rich Moist Foaming Cleanser is a non-drying, hypoallergenic cleanser that is free from artificial ingredients and is suitable for even the sensitive skin types. It contains hyaluronic acid, ceramide 3 and olive oil to protect the skin in order to retain the maximum amount of moisture while removing the impurities.
How To: Foam cleansers should be used on the T-zone first and then work towards the outer edges of the face or the drier parts of the face. While using foam cleansers, massage the face lightly in circular motions for a minute and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
Usually most people will stop after these four steps, but for those who have large pores and want to refine them, an additional step can be applied in this case by using a natural facial soap. The [KLAIRS] Gentle Black Sugar Charcoal Soap is a natural facial soap that draws out excess sebum and eliminates dead skin cells while tightening the pores.
How To: Lather the soap with between the palms with tepid water and apply the bubbles all over the face while gently massaging the skin. Rinse off with lukewarm water.
For those who wants to completely clean the face, this step could be applied with a toner. The [KLAIRS] Supple Preparation Facial Toner is a non-irritating that rejuvenates the skin while maintaining the pH balance of the skin.
How To: Soak a cotton pad with the gentle toner to remove leftover makeup residues that is clinging on the surface of the skin.
