It’s Bronwyn here today to share WishtrendTV’s latest recipe, Blueberry Vegan Protein Smoothie! This smoothies is a very simple and easy recipe that literally anyone can do as all the ingredients can be found at any grocery store. It’s high protein ingredients make it ideal for vegans and vegetarians who need more protein in their diets. This smoothie is also great for anyone who is dieting or looking to slim down as protein is excellent for healthy muscle formation. But let me stress, this smoothie is not for everyone, especially those who are not accustomed to healthy clean eating.
Being vegan is great for the body and is very beneficial for maintaining a healthy weight and healthy body. Vegan life styles have been proven to preventing obesity, diabetes, heart decease and other illnesses that can be linked to eating high meat and non vegetable based diets. However because vegan and vegetarian diets lack meat, they also don’t always ingest the proper daily intake of protein. Which is why finding vegan protein sources is very important if you are planning to or have chosen to take on this healthy lifestyle.
Some excellent sources of vegan protein most commonly come from types of beans such as:
- Soy Beans (soy milk, tofu, pure soy beans)
- Kidney Beans
- Lima Beans
- and many more
The most popular of these sources being, Soy Bean products such as tofu. So today we will be sharing Eunices favorite quick and easy Blueberry vegan tofu smoothie!

For this smoothie you will need
– 1/2 package of soft tofu
– 1 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
– 3 tbsp rice syrup (or sweetener of choice)
– 1/2 cup milk (or almond milk, water)
I mean… common who really needs directions?! But just because, here is step by step on how to make it extra smooth with no chunks:
In a blender, add blueberries. Pulse the blueberries until broken up. Then add the tofu and blend until smooth with no chunks. If the mixture is too thick and not blending smoothing, add a small amount of the milk until it is able to blend. Once smooth without chunks, add all the milk to the blender and blend until mixed, then add honey or sweetener of choice. Blend until mixed well and serve!
And that is it! That is is how you can make this simple and easy smoothie. It really isn’t hard at all and is a great way to introduce you to vegan eating or healthier eating. If you don’t like blueverries, remember you can supstitute them for any fruit of your choice. Preferably a fruit high in benefits such as Raspberries or Blackberries.
