Hello loves and welcome back to another review!
In today’s article, I am going to be sharing my personal opinion and experience with the new facial massage mask from IM FROM, the IM FROM Ginseng Mask review! Yes you read that correctly, this mask is best used as a facial massage mask, which surprised me at first since it wasn’t really marketed as a massage mask, however with a look at the directions of use, it does indeed recommend to be used as a massage mask first. So let us dive into the review and look deeper into the ability of this unique face mask!
IM FROM GINSENG MASK REVIEW
This Ginseng facial massage mask claims:
- Detoxes skin
- Promotes Elasticity
- Rejuvenates tired skin
- Nourishes parched skin
- Promotes better absorption of active skincare ingredients
- Wrinkle repairing
Those are some lovely claims! But when taking a look, you can see these claims show this mask is more suited to a more mature skin type of those in their early 30’s+ or those in their 20’s who have premature skin aging. Out of the above list of claims, for my skin I personally would only need the detoxing and rejuvenating benefits of this mask as my skin does not have any wrinkles, fine lines or loss of elasticity.
Packaging & Texture
As per usual, the IM FROM Ginseng Mask follows the same packaging theme as all other products from this brand, and as you may already know, I absolutely love the packaging. Featuring a heavy thick glass jar with a black lid, this product once again is another gorgeous feature to any bathroom counter or vanity. Plus as all the masks from this brand, it comes with a sanitary spatula to be used when extracting the product from the jar.
Moving onto the texture of this facial massage mask, this is what really surprised me! I honestly was expecting the texture of this mask to be more cream like, but instead it was thick, sticky and stringy like a dense molasses or a thick honey! If anything I would have expected the IM FROM Honey mask to have this texture, but instead the Ginseng mask does! But it gets even more interesting!
Application & Results
This Ginseng mask is meant to be applied directly onto freshly washed skin that is still damp! So skip out on drying your face and go right into the mask! When applied to damp skin, the mask glides softly over the face, with my clean hands, I started to massage my face and to my surprise the mask felt as if it was heating up on my skin! This honestly made me a bit nervous as a heating effect can sometimes cause irritation, but to my surprise the heat lasted only a few moments before reducing.
After massaging, I left the mask on my skin for 10 minutes as directed on the packaging then rinsed it off. To my surprise, this mask actually rinsed away very easily which I did not expect based on its original sticky texture. After rinsing off, my skin felt very soft and plump and glowy, however I was nervous to see if any irritation would develop over time or breakouts as this product does have fragrance added in it.
The next morning, my skin was normal and feeling lovely with no visible irritation or clogged pores. My skin still felt plump soft, but not shock results after 1 use.
Since I still have youthful skin, I was not expecting any grand results as this mask is suitable for mature skin. But I rather enjoyed this as a facial massage mask! It made for gentle and smooth massaging to relieve facial tensions and flushing of toxins via massaging. I think for me, I would only continue to use this mask just for its massaging benefits, but other than that, this is not one my skin needs yet.
This mask is lovely and a must try if you have mature skin that needs wrinkle care and tightening. For younger skin, this mask is a must have if you want to start facial massaging in your weekly routine. However if you are extremely sensitive to fragrance in skincare, then there might be a risk of potential sensitivity issues from this product, I was lucky enough to not experience any problems and really enjoy using this mask to massage my tension areas to help reduce stress and toxins in my skin!
I actually really liked using it a lot!
