Today, I want to show you my personal trick to put on how to use bb cream in 3 different ways.
1st. we will do the “no makeup” look! This is for those days when you really don’t want to put on makeup but you have to. For those days where your new boyfriend just comes over without telling you and you still haven’t shown him your face without makeup, and also for a pajama party with your girls!
2nd, is the hottest key word of 2015, the “Glowing” look.
It’s not really easy to portray the “glowing” look so for the humid summer weather like these days, I want to show you Dewy skin makeup. Your skin will look smooth and it will glow.
3rd, is full coverage makeup for those of you who are suffering from uneven skin tone, pimples, and blemishes. There are many ways to cover your troubled skin completely but it’s hard to cover everything and at the same time let your skin look moisturized and smooth.
So let me show you how you can create full coverage makeup and still keep your skin looking moisturized. It’s important to have good makeup tricks to portray your skin in different ways, but it’s also important to put on your skin care steps differently for the specific look that you want. The key word to portray my skin in 3 different ways is; bb cream.
“No Makeup” look
The main point of the “no makeup” look is making sure your skin looks “moisturized” and that your skin naturally looks healthy. Rather than making my skin look white or pale, I’m going to balance out my natural skin tone color overall and make my skin look naturally soft. Klairs BB cream doesn’t cover completely, so it makes my skin tone naturally a bit brighter. During the hot and humid summer time, we need to choose a toner that’s light but that will also moisturize well.
How to: Put the toner on your hands. Rub both hands and then press lightly so it can soak in well. Put a little bit of Klairs cream on your cheeks, forehead, and nose and dab lightly to soak in. With your 4th finger, in circular motion massage softly and then dab lightly to soak in completely. If you don’t let it soak in completely then, it can easily crumbs so make sure that it soaks in well. Before we put on the BB cream let’s make sure that we protect our skin from the sun. Let’s use a cream type sun cream that is moisturizing and that will soak in well into our skin. Put it on your hand, and with a sponge put a light layer on your face. Make sure you dab many times to let it soak in well. To do the “no makeup” look with a BB cream, the main point is to use a small amount of bb cream on your face and let it soak in well. I have 2 ways to do this. 1st is to use a sponge and 2nd is to use my fingers. For a natural makeup look, I’m going to use my fingers. About a size of a quarter, squeeze the bb cream on your hand. For those of you who have dry and sensitive skin like me, it’s good to put on the bb cream right after your skin care steps. I want to recommend that you use a bb cream with a light and also moisturizing texture. Put the bb cream on the parts of the face where you have visible pores, redness, and dark circles and press lightly to let it soak in. Dab lightly until it soaks in well and with the left over bb cream, apply it the the other parts of your face that don’t yet have bb cream. Then blend all together.
Dewy makeup which shows natural glowing skin is continuously popular. Compared to matte makeup, your skin looks much healthier and it also makes you look younger. Also, if you are stressed about enlarged pores, with dewy makeup, it covers your pores really well so it has the effect of making your skin look really healthy. It’s important to let you skincare soak in completely so that your skin doesn’t look oily but it looks like it’s glowing from within.
How to: After cleansing, put on S2J mist right away so that the moisture in your skin will not fly away. Before the mist dries, put on toner that has rich moisture and that soaks in well. Again, put the toner on your hands and rub. Make sure that your toner soaks into your face well using the heat of your palms. With this soft textured moisturizing cream, put a little it on, the size of a pea, and put it on your face like little dots. Then, like you are connecting the dots, let it soak in well to your skin. Dab lightly, then put on a cream type sun block that is moisturizing and that soaks well into your skin. Rub both hands and cover your face lightly with both of your hands to let it soak in well. Honey serum is excellent for moisturizing and it is not sticky and of course soaks in well. Mix the serum and bb cream, ratio of 1:3. Wet your sponge and squeeze the water out, then put the bb cream on your face from the inside to the outside. If you do it this way then because the sponge is extra moisturized because of the water, it’s easier to portray the “dewy skin” look. It’s good to use a sponge that you can use once and throw away. If you reuse the sponge then due to bacteria, it can cause acne or infection. Let’s throw it away! If you feel like it’s such a waste to use it once and throw away, then you can cut the sponge and use it again.
And there’s more!
You can finish here and you’ll still look fabulous but as time passes, your face will become oily and your hair can stick on to your face. This happens all the time for me because I have long hair. To prevent this, use a brush and powder pact and put it lightly on your face to control the sebum and to fix your makeup. Then, last step is to put mist on.
Full coverage makeup
When we use just a matte foundation then our makeup can look too thick and your skin will look really dry and not healthy. So to make sure that I can cover well and still portray that healthy flawless looking skin, I’m going to use both bb cream and a matte foundation. If we do too much skin care steps then our makeup can easily crumble so for this full coverage makeup, let’s focus on the skin care steps more.
How to: Use a toner that soaks in well. Use half of a size of a pea for the cream and put it on your cheek and nose and dab lightly to let it soak in. With the left over cream, put it on your face. Use a light sun block on your face and let it soak in well. This sun cream doesn’t make your skin look oily and it also helps the bb cream that we are going to put on after to last longer, it’s like a primer. Even sensitive skin types can use it, it’s very creamy. Next, let’s use a multi-concealer that is really moisturizing to portray healthy looking skin. Put on the parts of the face you have blemishes, dark circles, and other parts that you want to cover. Then with your 4th finger, dab lightly to let it soak in. You might wonder, why the 4th finger. It’s because if you use the 4th finger, you use the right amount of pressure to let your makeup soak into your skin well. Lets mix the bb cream and the natural finish foundation, with a ratio of 2:1. Put it on your face and dab lightly with a dry sponge. For acne scars and parts of the face that have pigmentation, put the concealer on one more time and press lightly. I hope that through these tips and tricks, you can to put on your bb cream 3 different ways!
