How to Get Rid of Oily Skin and Large Pores

Today, I wanted to give you tips on how to get rid of your oily skin and large pores!

Usually if you have oily skin type

– you probably have large amounts of excess sebum so your pores can easily enlarge.
– your skin looks rough and thick
– you break out a lot
– compare to other skin types, you have larger pores
– your makeup doesn’t last a long time

On the other hand,

– you probably have less wrinkles than other skin types
– the aging of your skin will be slower than dry skin types

So, let me tell you how to get rid of oily skin and your large pores!

  1. Cleansing

I said this so many times and I’m saying it again, but cleansing is so important! Especially, thoroughly cleansing your skin is a good place to start!

For oily skin types, it’s more likely that your dead skin builds up more and your pores enlarge easily! So it’s important to do double cleansing (first oil cleanse then use foam cleanser)!

  1. When Choosing Products

Stay away from any ingredients that are harsh to your skin! Harsh ingredients can fasten oil to form so for oily skin types, it’s better to use products that are specifically for oily skin types! BUT, there are many harsh ingredients in the oily skin products so make sure you double check before you buy any products!

  1. Stay Away From Products that Block your Pores

-use mild cleansers that are water based
-use mild toner that does not irritate your skin

(toners that contain antioxidants is great for skin rejuvenation, getting rid of any infections, tightening your pores, and also helps to get rid of any dead cells or remaining makeup that’s blocking your pores)

-use light moisturizers and make sure you stay away from rich and creamy textured products!
-it’s good to use gel-type moisturizers.

  1. Exfoliating-AHA, BHA exfoliators

-DON’T use scrubs but use products that have AHA and BHA in it!
-AHA gets rid of any unnecessary dead skin cells on your skin barrier and also opens your clogged pores to get the excess sebum out
-BHA goes deep into your pores and does its’ job of exfoliating. Gets rid of any dead cells in your pores, fine hair, blackheads, whiteheads, and anything that can cause trouble to your skin.

  1. Makeup- Use Powder

-I recommend that you use a powder for a light finish!

I want to recommend two products for those of you who want to get rid of your oily and large pores.

[I’m From] Volcanic mask

How to Get Rid of Oily Skin and Large Pores

I’ve tried many other type of volcanic masks including the Innisfree one. For me, I definitely felt like I’m From’s Volcanic Mask was the most mild from all of them. I personally liked how smoothly and easily it went on my skin. Other volcanic masks, it was really difficult to rinse it off, but this mask washed off really well and fast! My face looked a bit brighter and it felt really fresh. This is a wonderful mask to control your sebum and remove skin waste and older outer dead skin cells. It has great cooling effect also, and I also like it because it exfoliates my skin without any irritation!

[Skinmiso]Pore Corset Serum

How to Get Rid of Oily Skin and Large Pores

This is a perfect for people who have enlarged pores or people with excess sebum & oily looking   skin. The main function is pore tightening and it really has lasting results. When I heard about how this product can tighten your pores really well, I was worried because I thought it might be really strong. But, with ingredients like natural plant extract, the serum is mild and even sensitive skin types can use it! One annoying thing was that I have to wait 20 minutes after I put on the serum and then put on my moisturizer but honestly, with the results I’ve seen, it’s worth the wait.
