It’s Bronwyn from BiiBiiBeauty here again today I am going to share an easy, light and simple way to create translucent and natural makeup while still hiding imperfections. We all want to have perfect looking skin, but we also want it too look like our natural skin. This of course requires the right products to achieve a natural makeup look.
Step 1: Clean Face
With any makeup routine it is important to start off with a fresh clean face. You do not want to be putting make on top of dead skin cells and excess oil as this can cause closed comedone acne and pustule breakouts. For gentle cleansing effective for all skin types, please check out our previous post here.
Step 2: Concealer
Choosing the right concealer when trying to achieve natural makeup is very important. The concealer needs to fit your skin tone well and have a natural skin like texture to it. The latest north american trend lately is using highly pigmented concealers on the under eye area that around around 2-3 shades lighter then your natural skin tone. However when trying to achieve a natural look, this is not a beauty trick you want to be doing as it does not look natural.
I recommend a concealer that will match your skin texture well while still being able to high those imperfections. I recommend the Klairs Creamy & Natural Fit Concealer. This concealer is designed to fit most light to medium skin tones, while having a demi-matte finish that blends easily and moves with the skin. Making it look like your real skin.
Apply to areas of concern
- Dark circles
- Corners of the nose
- Blemished areas
For the most natural look, use your finger to blend the concealer into the skin.
Step 3: BB Cream
Choose a bb cream that is best for the skin. I recommend Klairs bb cream as it is paraben free, alcohol free, no artificial pigments, does not test on animals, and is environmentally friendly. On top of that this bb cream creates a natural “mochi skin” look similar to a baby skin effect. It blurs pores, create a healthy glow and naturally covers imperfections. bb creams usually fit those with light to medium skin. You can check out this color matching guide to know if the Klairs bb cream will work for you. This bb cream is perfect for creating natural makeup while still looking flawless.
Apply it starting with:
- The nose
- The cheeks
- The Forehead
- and the chin
Blend the bb cream into the skin with your fingers. Make sure to start from the center of your face and work your way out. Start with a thin layer then apply more bb cream to areas you feel need a little more coverage.
And that is how you easily can achieve translucent natural makeup with ease!
If you have more oily skin, you can always try using a setting powder of your choice and apply it to the t-zone. But remember, a matte looking face isn’t very natural looking.
